IME Consultants (IMEC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a multi-discipline engineering design for a Life of Mine Primary Dewatering System, for OceanaGold’s Didipio Gold Mine located in the Philippines.
IMEC was engaged to provide complete detailed design of the system, which will be comprised of multiple pump stations located on various levels within the mine. The system will utilise proven filtration and settling technologies to pump treated water from the bottom of the mine to surface at rates in excess of 500 L/s.
The system design was developed in close consultation between IMEC engineers and the highly experienced and skilled site teams. This resulted in a highly efficient, versatile and robust design which considers all aspects of constructability and future-proofing of the facility.
IMEC completed each of the multilevel pump stations in accordance with the client’s timeline, budget and site-specific requirements, and executed in accordance with the IMEC ISO9001 accredited Quality Management System.
IMEC looks forward to continuing to support Oceangold throughout the procurement and construction phases of the project, ensuring that the design is developed into a key infrastructural component for successful mine operation.
